Market leader Rapid is relaunching one of Europe’s best-selling staple guns. The DIY community favorite Rapid R53 is being reborn with 90 % recycled plastic, sustainable packaging and four new colours.
The colours are inspired by Swedish nature to emphasize that the staple guns are made in Sweden, with very little or no transport needed from raw material to finished product. Founded in 1936, the company continues its legacy by producing these staple guns in its hometown of Hestra, Sweden.
To further make the reborn staple gun sustainable, Rapid has redesigned the packaging, using recycled cardboard. The plastic in the staple gun itself is recycled from discarded refrigerators.
Rapid calls their new concept ”the Spirit of Sweden” and has chosen four colours that follow current trends while also representing four elements of the Swedish nature.
