Blind rivets and anchoring concrete screws are the most important items that Ambrovit introduced in the new catalog #16 with more than 12,000 products. Blind Rivets, due to their extreme versatility, are widely used in various application areas. They are mechanical fasteners also used when welding is not possible, for example, fixing two sheets together. A blind rivet, once applied, cannot be dismantled unless forcibly broken with a drill. They are used to permanently fix plates, metal sheets or other materials, including plastic and wood. Because of their great versatility, they are widely used in a variety of sectors ranging from construction to aviation, transport and infrastructure building. Ambrovit's new catalogue offers four types of differently sized blind rivets in several different finishes: A2 Stainless Steel, Cr3 Galvanised Steel or a Cr3/Aluminium Galvanised Steel Combination. Ambrovit also uses regulation compliant materials for these products, including a Rohs-certified Cr3 galvanised finish. This finish is free from hexavalent chromium, in line with current European regulations regarding environmental and human protection.
Another recent launch is Ambrovit’s anchoring concrete screws that allow anchoring metal or wooden pieces to solid or fissured concrete. Ambrovit offers five types of high performance and differently sized anchoring concrete screws. Anchor screws with a flanged hexagonal, flat countersunk, cylindrical and half-round head are all available. Each type has special patented Trilow threading that facilitates screwing and avoids splitting. The notched tip, at the initial part of the thread, allows quick and clean carving into the concrete. All screws have ETA Option 1 and REI 120 fire-resistance certification. The anchoring screws in the catalogue are available with an ENDURO treatment that guarantees a corrosion resistance of more than 1,000 hr. This allows their use even in highly corrosive outdoor environments.
